We’ve occasionally heard from people telling us they visit swingers’ clubs in their home town, simply because there’s no nudist clubs where they live. Others have asked us if they can go to such clubs and just be nude.
First, let us say that it’s a strange world we live in, where nudists are often accused of immoral acts (namely, being nude), yet nobody seems to have a problem with the numerous sex clubs in their communities. It’s a fact that there’s a very large number of swingers’ clubs on this planet, some in places you would least expect. In some countries, there’s virtually no nudist venues of any kind, but scores of options for swingers. Our guess is that sex sells!
What consenting adults do to each other is none of our business, but a swingers’ bar isn’t the best place to go if all you’re looking for is social nudity. While it’s common for swingers to patronize nudist resorts, they usually behave like other nudists while there, lest they’re looking to be tossed-out the door in a hurry. Conversely, if you’re a nudist and you’re not looking for sex, don’t act shocked by what goes on on their turf. You’ll see sexual acts in abundance and you might even get proposals to participate, invitation which may come in the form of touching. You don’t enter the lion’s den and expect the lion not to take notice!
Swingers do get naked, but they get naked to have sex. Typically (we asked real swingers, okay!), there’s a main room where social mixing, dancing and boozing happens, and other areas where the “nasty” happens. Nudity usually only takes place in the wet room (hot tub, etc) and a variety of other rooms with beds, couches and various implements for enacting sexual fantasies. Customers will more often than not cover themselves with a towel before and after having sex. While probably nobody will mind if you’re naked the entire time, you might be the only person(s) that is nude and not having sex!
In answer to the question in our title… Yes, but you won’t be a nudist while you’re there! Stick to the nudist clubs, or just be naked at home!

Exactly right! If you’re naked for sex, then it’s not nudism. If more people understood that simple fact, there would be alot less problems for nudists in this country. Part of the problem is that swinger resorts often market themselves as “nudist.” I suppose this is to get more business from people who don’t know any better. So people should look carefully and ask lots of questions before going to any resort. I check with AANR.com before going to a new place.
