Destinations: Florida, the Nudist State

Florida has undoubtedly long been one of the most attractive destinations for nudists. The state is very nudist-friendly with one county, Pasco, north of Tampa, boasting a considerable number of naturist communities.

If you decide to visit Florida, your most likely choices are the “big 3″ resorts:
- Cypress Cove in Kissimmee (http://www.cypresscoveresort.com)
- Paradise Lakes (http://www.paradiselakes.com/default.htm) in Pasco
- Caliente (http://www.calienteresorts.com), also in Pasco.
These are luxury resorts with a wide range of amenities and activities. Caliente is the newest and considered the most upscale. Cypress is what you want if you’re looking for family-oriented serenity and relaxation, while the party people prefer the other 2.
Nudist Day has to warn that the 2 Pasco resorts are guilty of promoting not entirely nudist theme nights involving lingerie. However, if you avoid the aforementioned events, it’s possible to have a true naturist holiday in all 3 locations as they’re vast and varied in their offerings.
While in Florida, you should of course make the trek down to Miami to visit the world’s most famous nude beach (Haulover). There isn’t a day where there isn’t a crowd, and thus lots happening on that wide stretch of sand. Another club we recommend for a day visit is Sunny Palms, a rustic resort near Fort Pierce. It has many peaceful trails through tropical forests for the naturalist-naturist to enjoy!
