Jack Geischeidt, founder of the Tree Spirit Project, announced he’ll be staging his next nude group photo event in Santa Cruz, California. While this will be part of his ongoing art project, it will also serve to protest the University of California’s plans to cut down 150 acres of forest, including redwoods.
Geischeidt is the same who previously organized a photo shoot in conjunction with environmentalists protesting tree logging at Berkeley University. The latest protest will take place on the grounds of UCSC at 10:30 am, April 22, 2007, and will be centered around a Douglas fir tree nicknamed “Tree 9″. Geischeidt also announced this event celebrates Earth Day.
