AMSTERDAM, Sunday June 3 – Spencer Tunick, photographer of massive nude installations, completed early this morning what could be qualified as a “small” photo shoot involving 2,000 people in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is in contrast to the estimated 18,000 that participated in his previous installation in Mexico City in May.
Tunick took four group photos, some of which involved Amsterdam’s famous canal bridges, while another used a high-rise car park as the setting. As in Mexico City, the artist from New York excluded men for at least one of his shots, including one where nude women appear to be floating over the canal thanks to a stair-like bridge.
