A recent Nudist Day article explored the fate of domain names relevant to the nudist lifestyle. We subsequently heard from Dan Inmon, who revealed to us the following:
“Nudism.com was at first a very large nudist owned and operated website. It was owned for the first two years by Mike Frey, who was one of my partners in Hyperstream Network Communications. Mike wrote chat software that became one of the first nudist chat rooms and we consistently had 40-50 concurrent users online. We hosted several nudist websites, including my own Tropical Resort, Lake Como, Tampa Area Naturists, and the Nudist Matchmaker. At the time we, (along) with Cybernude.com were the two major nudist portals.
Mike had some personal problems, and our partnership broke up. Soon afterward, he forgot to renew the domain, and it was immediately snatched-up by someone who made it a porno site. I’d rather see it dormant than what it became at one time. When I win the lottery, I’ll buy it back and make it into what it should have been all along.”
We hope he wins the lottery!
