In the United States, the oldest landed nudist club is said to be Sky Farm, in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Started in 1932, this 35 acre naturist wonderland is for members only. That means: no day visitors! It’s open year-round and hasn’t changed location since its founding, although much has changed within, since the original club had no electricity! Visit their website here.
In Canada, the honor goes to the Van Tan Club, in North Vancouver. It was inaugurated in 1939 by the “The Father of Canadian Nudism,” Ray Connett. Similar to Sky Farm, this club has strict access rules, although it allows individual non-members to visit up to three times a year, on a trial basis. For more information, visit their web page here.
In the United Kingdom, the longest operating nudist club is the Five Acres Country Club, in Hertfordshire, which dates back to 1925. They’re currently refurbishing their website, thus we’ll mention another venerable old English club: The Liverpool Sun & Air Society, created in 1933 and at the same location near Cronton since 1935. Yet another septuagenarian worth noting is the Diogenes Sun Club, near London, started in 1936, although it’s been at its present location since “only” 1964. The club sits on six country acres and has all the amenities. More details here.
Down under, the senior nudist venue is Heritage Club Australia, near Campbelltown. New South Wales. In existence since 1949, this one boasts 45 acres of bush land by the Georges river, but its infrastructure is rather rustic, thus you might only want to visit for the enjoyment of nature!
