Finland is a country where social nudity is normal and widely practiced. Curiously, in Helsinki, the capital, you’ll find what is probably the world’s only gender-segregated nude beach. Indeed, Seurasaari beach has a men-only section and next to it one just for women.
No doubt this reduces the number of incursions by voyeurs, but it also certainly poses a problem for heterosexual nudist couples. It seems to us that sex-based segregation violates basic naturist principles. After all, go to just about any nudist club and even the rest rooms are unisex!
