June 10: Nude Improv and Nude Audience
John Ordover, founder of CO dinners in New York City, organized yet another special event: A night of nude comedy improv, a show in which the audience, of course, will also be nude. Here’s John’s own words to describe the soiree:
Ever see the TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? It’s free form improv, theater games with suggestions (and volunteers) from the audience. For NUDE’S LINE IS IT ANYWAY? I’ve hired professional improv people to perform in the nude for us (we will also be nude)
WHERE: The Red Room Theater, on the same floor as the KGB bar in the East Village. 85 E 4th St. New York, NY 10003 (212) 505-3360
When: Tuesday, June 10th, 7pm - 9:30. We will meet, clothed, in the KGB bar at 7 with an 8pm curtain. Cash bar as always. This event does not include a dinner, so eat before you come! Drinks from the bar can be brought into the theater.
The area is on its way up, and there is some street parking and a garage not far away.
Details: Sadly we cannot be nude in the bar, and there are no bathrooms in the theater, so we will have to strip down in the theater and dress to leave it, but since it will be a 90 minute show, tops, I think we’ll be okay. The show is not open to the public any more than our regular dinners are but as usual feel free to bring guests.
Price: $25 per person for the show. To sign up drop a note to Ordoverco@aol.com.
Ordover is also responsible for the hugely popular internet spoof marryourdaughter.com.
