Whatever happened to the Nudist Dot Coms?

A domain name is one of the most important assets a web-based businesses can have, and the dot-com domains remain the most coveted. Business.com gets you to a directory of businesses, Sports.com lands you on a sports gambling site, Travel.com is about, yep, travel…But, what about Nudism.com?
Nudism.com ain’t about nudism. In fact, it’s being held by some cyber-squatter in the Cayman Islands, who undoubtedly is holding-out for some buyer with big bucks. Millions of other domain names are being held hostage this way, and almost all the top keywords related to our beloved lifestyle are in the wrong hands.
Nudist.com, on the other hand, redirects you to a crappy directory while it’s also in the hands of a cyber-squatter. Try Naturism.com and it’ll redirect to a total bogus site called “Yeah”. Naturist.com, fortunately, is held by the good people at the Naturist society. Nude.com, as you might expect, sends you to a porn site. Clothesfree.com, of course, is the major nudist portal we all know, but Clothingoptional.com is yet another cyber-squatter victim. Ditto for Socialnudism.com and Socialnudity.com. In the case of the latter, this author confesses that he was once the owner of that domain, but I let my registration expire. To reacquire that domain, I’d have to shell-out 750 US dollars to its greedy new owner. Even silly domain names like Nudismnudism.com and Nudistnudist.com are in the hands of cyber-squatters.
We’re lucky to have grabbed NudistDay.com some time ago, otherwise this site might be something lame like Naturismnaturism.com, which is still available, incredibly!
