This year marks the ninth annual X-Bash. The event features independent artists, bands, performers, and their friends, strutting their stuff. The real fun starts when the sun goes down!

Land O’ Lakes, Florida July 17 - July 19, 2009 – Come celebrate X-Bash the ninth annual artist community and clothing-optional blow-out! Independent artists, musicians, and other performers—such as fire-eaters—show off their talents! The event gives the individuals a chance to showcase their talents, provides networking opportunities, and helps strengthen the communities in the bay area.

This event started as a birthday party for XZanthia, a young woman entrepreneur, and her company, Inner Flame Studios. It has since grown into a major event, with people from around Florida, and even out of state, attending. The event takes place at her father’s Naturist resort, The River Boat Club, located just behind Caliente, in Land O’ Lakes. What started as a young woman’s birthday party is now a big gathering for personal friends and professional peers, to meet like-minded people, and to have fun.

The funds from this event go towards helping the artist community, like supplies needed for the artists, as well as general upkeep of the property. As the new, young people come in, XZanthia is slowly adding emphasis to the art part of the community.

Additionally, her inner circle is also working on putting together a television series on a local station, to cover all of the independent events in Tampa Bay. The show will provide a platform for independent talents, allowing them exposure throughout the central Florida region.

July 17, 2008 - Adare Productions recently communicated with Nudist Day, asking us to help them find nudists willing to participate in an Irish TV reality show. The show, a charity special co-produced by RTE will air this summer and is called Failte Towers (a parody of Fawlty Towers, we reckon).

Twelve celebrities will take part, each representing a charity of their choice, and will run a 12 room hotel during two weeks in Co Louth, Ireland, performing all chores from cooking to cleaning. The hotel will receive real paying customers during this time, and to make things more interesting, the producers want to have a naturist night featuring up to 24 nude guests.

VANCOUVER, BC - Wreck Beach, the famous clothing-optional beach near Vancouver in Canada, is the site of an annual foot race. This year’s edition, the 12th, will be held on Sunday, August 17th at noon. There is a registration fee for runners entering the race, but each participant does receive a free T-shirt, regardless of their finish. Contestants aren’t required to be nude, but most elect to do so, albeit with a hat and shoes, the latter which is absolutely necessary to avoid injury. Note that the chief race organizer is referred to as the “Buns Master”. More information can be had at the link below.

It was two years ago in December on this site that we reported that the Nekkid Monday Band was to play no more. The talented but dispirited nudist funk group, led by Shane Gentry, had decided then that they lacked support from the community and would seek fame and fortune as musicians of the textile world instead. For a limited time, the band will reunite, playing two nights at the Hidden Beach Resort, the luxury clothing-optional on Mexico’s Yucatan coast.
Nekkid will play July 18th and 22nd, 2008, and will also join hotel guests for a day-long catamaran cruise, which we can only presume will be nude. More information can be had at the resort web site (link below) where there’s a sample of their music.

SPAIN - The 2008 edition of the Sopelana nudist race is scheduled for this Saturday at noon, in the town of the same name near Bilbao. This annual event takes place on Barinatxe beach and is one of the more popular nude foot races in the world. Nude runners of all ages cover 5 km (3 mi) on hard sand.
